After watching the video (above) it is very clear that Allah Almighty asks us to respect everyone irrespective of their race, language, color, gender, nationality, and religion.

Allah says in the Quran:

And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference. (Quran 17:70)

Allah says that we gave respect to the children of Adam, therefore every child of Adam (peace be upon him) has been given respect by Allah. So how come some people call themselves Muslims and don’t give respect to people on the basis of their religion? Allah gives them respect, Allah has honored them and still, some people think Islam tells us to disrespect non-Muslims.  Furthermore, Allah says:

Indeed, [O Muhammad], you can not guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided. (Quran 28:56)

This verse was revealed at the death of the uncle of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Abu Talib. And Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was greatly grieved that towards the end his uncle did not accept Islam and he died still believing in the Idols. And Allah says “you can not guide whom you love“, the Arabic word is أَحْبَبْتَ which means Love. Therefore this verse clearly demonstrates that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had love for his uncle who was not a Muslim. Therefore how can anybody claim that Islam preaches us to hate people of other faiths? Quite the contrary, Allah says:

“But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness-“ (Quran 31:15)

Allah is very explicit in the Quran that even if your parents are idol worshipers and they are forcing you to worship their false gods, don’t worship their gods but treat them with the utmost respect, utmost kindness, utmost good treatment.

All these verses clearly show that Quran tells us to love and respect all people without any discrimination. But sadly people are not aware of these verses and need to be educated on this matter. May Allah help us in spreading the true message of Quran.
